Uttarakhand Adventures
A major portion of Uttarakhand, also known as Dev Bhoomi or Land of the Gods for its temples and spiritual connections, lies in the Himalayas. With over 50 per cent of its area covered in forests, this North Indian state is celebrated for its natural and cultural heritage. The holy River Ganges and River Yamuna originate in this region. The state has gained a reputation of being the adventure hub of India with trekking, river rafting, rappelling, kayaking, zip lining, bungee jumping, cycling, mountain biking and other exciting activities becoming very popular. Mountains, rivers, jungles, temples, ashrams and myriad adventure opportunities available make this state an exciting place to visit.

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi
Arrive late evening in Delhi. Meet on arrival at the airport by Snow Leopard Adventures team members. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in the Hotel.
Day 2: Delhi – Agra – Delhi (By Train)
Early morning wake up call followed by transfer to the New Delhi Railway Station to board the Shatabdi Express train to Agra at 6 AM. Arrive in Agra. Sightseeing of Taj Mahal & Agra Fort. To people world over, the Taj Mahal, mausoleum of the Mughal Empress Mumtaz Mahal, is synonymous with India. The Taj is undoubtedly one of the most impressive buildings of the world. The Agra Fort is built along the Yamuna River and stretches almost 2.5 km. After a conducted tour of Agra, we return to Delhi. Late evening transfer to Agra Cantt Railway Station to board the Shatabdi Express Train to return to Delhi. Arrive at New Delhi Railway Station and transfer to hotel in Delhi. Overnight in Delhi hotel.
Day 3: Delhi – Haridwar (By Train)
Early morning transfer to the New Delhi Railway Station. Board the Dehradun Shatabdi train for Haridwar. Arrive at Haridwar Railway Station Meet and greet by Snow Leopard Adventures team members at the station and drive to Camp Tusker. En route we cross Haridwar – a sacred town for the Hindus. Located at the base of the Shivalik hills, it is in this town that the River Ganges enters the plains. A dip in its holy waters is said to wash away sins of a lifetime. Upon arrival, camp welcome and orientation talk followed by lunch. Post lunch, we leave for the day’s activity -a hike to Bindwasini Temple. We drive for about 40 minutes to reach the starting point of the hike. The temple dedicated to Hindu Goddess Parvati is located on top of a ridge. We walk through forests and cross small streams till we reach the steps leading to the temple (30 minutes). The temple offers a panoramic view of Rajaji National Park. On the way back from the temple, we stop by a stream. We walk back to the waiting coach and drive back to camp. Evening at leisure at the campsite. Dinner around a campfire. Overnight at Snow Leopard Adventures Camp.
Day 4: Cycling, Jeep Safari and visit to children’s home
Early morning we go for an exciting session of cycling in the buffer zone of the park. The cycling trail takes you through vegetation of several distinct zones and various forest types such as sal forests, riverine forests, broad-leaved mixed forests and scrubland. Return back to camp for Breakfast. Post breakfast, visit to an underprivileged children’s home for an interactive session with the resident children. This is a meaningful service option for students. Lunch at camp. Post lunch, we drive to Rajaji National Park for an exciting jeep safari (The Park is open from mid Nov-mid June). Return to the camp for evening tea & snacks. Evening at leisure followed by dinner and overnight at Camp.
Day 5: Yoga, Rafting, Rock Climbing & Rappelling
Early morning wake up followed by a session of yoga. Post breakfast, we go for a fun rafting trip on the Ganges. Conclude rafting at Rishikesh and drive back to camp. Lunch at the camp. Post lunch, we will go for an exciting session of Rock Climbing and Rappelling. Evening at leisure followed by dinner and overnight at Camp.
Day 6: Full Day Rafting- Devprayag
Post breakfast, depart for Devprayag. Devprayag is at the confluence of two sacred rivers, the Bhagirathi River and the Alaknanda River. At Devprayag, these two rivers merge to form the Ganges River. We start the rafting from Devprayag. A fairly calm day on the river. This is a good stretch to practice river skills/ swimming/ body surfing. Lunch on an isolated beach on the river. We conclude rafting in Kaudiyala. Drive back to camp. Evening at leisure followed by dinner and overnight at Camp
Day 7: Haridwar-Delhi (Train), Delhi-Onward destination
Early wake up followed by transfer to Haridwar Railway Station. Board train to Delhi. Arrive Delhi. Lunch. Post lunch, we visit a handicrafts bazaar. Celebration dinner after shopping. After dinner, transfer to Indira Gandhi International Airport to onward flight.
Adventure & Culture in Orchha
The Betwa River and the picturesque terrain, along with the magnificent ruins make it an adventurer’s paradise. The river is wide and its placid flow is intermittently broken by Grade I to Grade II rapids. The river is good for easy kayaking and rafting. As the Betwa River is dam controlled, rafting is subject to water level. We will organize alternate soft adventure activities, if rafting is not possible.

Day 1: Delhi-Jhansi-Camp Blue Bull
Arrive Jhansi at 1030 hrs. Meet and greet by snow Leopard Adventures team at Jhansi railway station followed by transfer to Snow Leopard Adventures Camp Blue Bull in Orchha.
Camp Blue Bull is set up on the banks of the Betwa River. The camp has 16 comfortably done up safari tents. The camp offers guests an opportunity to combine the thrill of adventure with the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Lunch at camp. Post lunch, we embark on an exciting exploration visit to Adventure Island. The Island is accessible only by rafts. This interesting island has ruins of a 400-year-old hunting lodge and some very exciting forest trails. Overnight at Snow Leopard Adventures Campsite.
Day 2: In Orchha (Rafting and return to Delhi)
Morning wake-up call followed by breakfast. Post breakfast we drive to the Rafting* put-in point at Kanchana Ghat. From here we raft down to Notghat Betwa Bridge. Working our way through gentle rapids, the rafting takes you past forested banks, age-old monuments and down the history lane of Orchha. Drive back to the Camp. Lunch at camp. After Lunch, we pack up and drive to Jhansi for the train back to Delhi.
*Rafting on the Betwa River is subject to water level. We will organize alternate soft adventure activities if rafting is not possible.

Ladakh& Kashmir Adventure
This North Indian state, located mostly in the Himalayan mountains, comprises of three regions viz Jammu, Kashmir valley and Ladakh. The Himalayas separate the Kashmir valley from Ladakh while the Pir Panjal range, separates it from the plains of the rest of northern India.
Ladakh, with its awesome landscape and colourful people, is an amazing place to visit. This ethereal cold desert, known as “The Last Shangri La” or ”The Little Tibet”, seldom fails to impress. Flanked by two of the world’s mightiest mountain ranges, the Great Himalayas and the Karakoram, Ladakh lies athwart two other mountain ranges i.e. the Ladakh range and the Zanskar range.

Day 8: Drive to Khardung La
Depart for day trip to Khardung La at 18,300 feet which is the highest motorable pass in the world. O/n at Leh hotel.

Days rafting trip on the Indus from Pheyang to Nimu ( grade III ) . Drive back to Leh. O/n at Leh.

This trip, based out of “God’s Own Country- Kerala”, offers an opportunity to kayak the backwaters of this beautiful state and see its land, people and culture up close.
