Be it river rafting on the Ganga, trekking in the Himalayas, mountain biking in Garhwal, sea kayaking tours in Kerala or Trans-Himalayan jeep safaris, meticulous planning, tremendous emphasis on safety, ecological sensibility and personalized service form the foundation of each of our trips. Our 150-member Snow Leopard Adventures Team, comprising experienced administrators, rafters, kayakers, climbers and naturalists, is one of the most professional and efficient adventure teams in India.

Our adventures are conducted in safe manner and they are safer than probably driving around in Delhi. We keep our adventure safe by: –

  • Strict adherence to our Safety Code of Conduct.
  • Use of state-of-the-art equipment for all our activities and by before- season thorough inspection of all our adventure equipment.
  • Conducting an annual Camping and Adventure Process Training (CAPT) programme for our entire team.
  • Annual certification in Wilderness First Aid and CPR by WMI, National Outdoor Leadership School, US to our outdoor trip leaders
  • Organising regular swift water rescue training programmes for our river team and outdoor refresher courses for the rest of our experienced operations team.
  • Keeping a comprehensive First Aid kit at the camp and by carrying a First Aid kit on all our adventure trips.

Maximum temperatures during summer range from 37 to 42 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures during winter range from 5 to 16 degrees Celsius.

Our camps are in Shivpuri, Uttarakhand which is 430 metres or 1410 feet above sea level.

Yes, all our instructors are wilderness first aid certified and on an average have over 15+ years of experience in their respective fields.

We offer adventure trips mainly in Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Kerala.

Minimum age for rafting is 10 years and there is no maximum age, if the guest is fit

Shivpuri is next to a forest reserve and we do not recommend DJs and loud music in that area.

Snow Leopard Adventures has been in existence for the last 25 years and has the best camps and the most professional staff. We invest a lot on our team’s training and skills. Our equipment is probably the best seen on the river and our cuisine has been time and again commended.

The over 260-km Delhi-Shivpuri drive takes about 6 hours from.

Haridwar railway station is the closest railhead and it is about 1.5 hours and 42 kms from camp.

Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun is the closest airport and it is about 1 Hour / 34 Kms from our Shivpuri camps.

Yes. Road/ Train/ Flight reservations can be arranged by Snow Leopard Adventures.

The put-in and take out points for rafting are at a distance from our camps and hence we require the services of external transporters to transfer the guests to and fro camps. As per local traffic authorities, our vehicles can be used only to transfer our staff and equipment.

We can accommodate groups between 10 to 140 guests at a time.

Most of our itineraries require a minimum number of 4 guests.
